Motorola Q9c & Q9h
(built-in GPS receiver)
Samsung BlackJack II (built-in GPS receiver)
- Open 'Start/GPSID Settings' (see NOTE
below).
- Set the 'Program Port' to COM3 (or COM4, COM5), 'Hardware
Port' to NONE.
- Set the 'Baud Rate' to 9600 and tick 'Manage Automatically'.
- Launch GPS Utilities, open 'Menu/GPS Setup'.
- Untick 'Auto search Bluetooth GPS receiver' and set
the above Program Port & Baud Rate information,
press "Done" and you are ready to 'Start GPS'.
NOTE: If you do not see
the GPSID Settings icon, install Microsoft GPSID Configuration
Utility here:
Download (Device CAB Installer)

Over the Air Install
Enter 'http://www.efficasoft.com/download/Microsoft_Smartphone_
GPSID_Settings.cab' in your device web browser.

Motorola Q
- Follow the steps in the Motorola
Q User Guide, section "Turning Bluetooth On/Off/Discoverable"
to turn on the Bluetooth and pair up the GPS receiver
with your phone.
- Launch GPS Utilities
- Open Menu/GPS Setup
- Untick "Auto search..."
- Set COM1 and Baud rate (check the rate in your GPS
receiver user manual).
- Press Done
- Once you Start GPS, the "Select a bluetooth device"
dialog prompts.
- Select the paired GPS receiver and the connection
is established.
